4th (ICAIC) INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR ACADEMIA AND INDUSTRY CO-OPERATION, 4th (IMMSEM) INTERNATIONAL MEETING IN MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING OF MARANHÃO and 1st North-northeast international meeting on materials science and engineering 


The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhao (IFMA) and the strategic sector composed by PRPGI (Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa, Pós-graduação e Inovação), organized the 4th (ICAIC) International Conference for Academia and Industry Co-operation, 4th (IMMSEM) International Meeting in Materials Science and Engineering and 1st North-Northeast International Meeting on Materials Science and Engineering of Maranhão that was held in Sao Luis-MA during November 20-24, 2023. The graduate program in Materials Engineering was responsible for this fourth edition of the international event for the state of Maranhao, Brazil. The 4th (ICAIC), 4th (IMMSEM) and 1st NNIMMSE offered minicourses, plenaries, talks, poster sections and roundtable topics of interest to the interdisciplinary materials science and engineering research community at large. As the tremendous success of the first,  second and third editions, 300 attendees from private and public companies and institutions participated in this event.

The organizing committing acknowledges with gratitude funding received from Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – Brasil (CAPES), Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa e ao Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico do Maranhão - FAPEMA, and Dynamic Systems Inc. - DSI.

In the conference proceeding, there are papers, each with individual DOI and abstracts, that have been passed through the peer review process and have been presented during the conference.
