The Brazilian Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (AB3C) is a scientific organisation that started in July 2004, and since then has been in charge of the "X-Meeting" annual conference. 

The X-Meeting is an annual congress on bioinformatics and computational biology that brings together researchers, academics, students, and industry professionals to discuss the latest advancements in the field. The 17th X-Meeting was held alongside the Brazilian Symposium on Bioinformatics (BSB), which was organised by the Brazilian Society of Computation (SBC). 

This edition took place on the FIEP Industry Campus in Curitiba, PR, Brazil, from June 13 to June 16, 2023, and included lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions, round tables, and workshops on a variety of bioinformatics and computational biology-related topics, such as genomics, proteomics, data analysis, algorithms, and machine learning, among others. For the first time, the Brazilian Service of Assistance to Micro and Small Enterprises (SEBRAE-PR) joined us to assist aspiring entrepreneurs in achieving their goals by organizing the IDEATHON

The X-Meeting is designed for researchers, academics, students, and industry professionals involved in bioinformatics and computational biology, with the aim of promoting knowledge dissemination and collaboration among researchers and professionals in the related fields, thereby contributing to the advancement of global science and technology.
