The Brazilian Meeting on Brain and Cognition (BMBC 2024) is scheduled from September 18th to September 21st at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) – Campus São Bernardo do Campo in São Paulo, Brazil. This event will be hosted by the Interdisciplinary Unit for Applied Neuroscience (NINA), the Graduate Program in Neuroscience and Cognition (PPGNCG), and the Undergraduate Program In Neuroscience (BNC) of UFABC.

For four days, we will provide an enriching experience discussing cutting-edge research in Neuroscience, under its three main perspectives: Systems Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, and Theoretical Neuroscience. Our event will include lectures, roundtables, poster sessions, and more. The Organizing Committee is honored to invite you to join us!

Abstract Submission

Abstract Submission Guideline

  • Each subscription will allow one abstract submission.
  • The presenter must be the first author of the abstract.
  • The abstract must include a Title, Authors, Affiliations, and Financial Support information.
  • The abstract must be divided into the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results/Expected Results, and Conclusions and should not exceed 4000 characters (including spaces).
  • When applied, information about Ethical Committee approval must be indicated.
  • Only abstracts in English will be accepted, and the poster presentation MUST be in English for graduate students and above levels. We strongly encourage English poster presentations for undergraduate students, although it is not mandatory.
  • Abstract acceptance will occur only under the Scientific Committee evaluation.
  • A few abstracts will be selected for the Oral Communication Session, please indicate if you are interested in participating in the selection during the submission.

Posters Instructions

  • Posters must be in ENGLISH;
  • Title, authors, and affiliations should be the same as shown in the accepted abstract;
  • The maximum size should be 110 x 90 cm (height x width);
  • The information must be clear and understandable without oral explanation.

Scientific Program

Only the pre-event activities (September, 18th) will be in Portuguese. From September 19th to 21st the program will be in English.
