Espaço Multieventos da UNIVASF - Juazeiro - Bahia - Brasil
The I International Congress on Climate Change and Its Consequences on Semi-Arid Territories (I CIMCCTS) is an international event organized by the Federal University of Vale do São Francisco (UNIVASF) in partnership with the Graduate Program in Agroecology and Territorial Development and the Graduate Program in Rural Extension at UNIVASF, both based at the Plural Space Campus of UNIVASF, in Juazeiro, Bahia, Brazil.
The purpose of the event is to contribute to the reflection of the populations on living with the semi-arid region of Brazil, through Environmental Education and awareness about the reality brought by climate change. It aims to create a space for the exchange of knowledge and technologies towards Sustainable Development, promoting practices such as low-carbon emission agriculture, forest restoration, land redistribution, respect for the ways of life of indigenous peoples and traditional communities, and the adoption of agroecology as a production model.
The I CIMCCTS will take place from August 20 to 24, 2024, at the Federal University of Vale do São Francisco, in the city of Juazeiro, Bahia, Brazil.
The I CIMCCTS is accepting submissions in the categories of SIMPLE ABSTRACT and EXTENDED ABSTRACT.
