WORKSHOP IN HONOR OF EMERITUS PROFESSOR

The present event is an homage to the Emeritus Professor Joanilio Rodolpho Teixeira. Professor Joanilio joined the Department of Economics at the University of Brasilia in 1977 and, since then, he was one of the responsible for the Graduate programme at the Department, supervising more than 50 PhD and MSc Theses, and publishing more then 130 works Besides, he has been a post-doctoral or Visiting Professor/Researcher at Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford, London School of Economics, Stanford, California-Berkley, CEPREMAP, IEDES-Sorbonne, Lugano, Millan, ESG Lisbon and other prestigious universities. He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), a Guardian of Milton Santos works and a member of the prestigious Club of Rome. Nowadays, he is a Senior Research Fellow at UnB. In this vein, it is an honour for his former and current students to create this homage for him supported by the Department of Economics at the University of Brasilia and its Student Representation.
