Para una producción
científica que cumpla con los estándares internacionales, es necesario discutir
los resultados de investigaciones en proceso o terminadas, así como análisis de
conceptos que nutren las discusiones epistemológicas que permiten cultivar y
ampliar tanto el pensamiento crítico como la validez del conocimiento. Todo esto se da en las discusiones de la Semana
Dominicana de Ciencia y Tecnología los días 6-12 de junio de 2022,
cuyo evento principal XVII Congreso Internacional de Investigación Científica.
El XVII CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL
DE INVESTIGACIÓN CIENTÍFICA (XVII CIC), se celebrará los días 8-10 de
junio, en la ciudad de Santo Domingo, con conferencias magistrales y
especiales, ponencias concurrentes, exhibición de carteles, así como cursos,
seminarios y talleres en modalidad presencial, virtual y mixta
El XVII CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL DE
INVESTIGACIÓN CIENTÍFICA (XVII CIC) es un escenario ideal para la interacción entre
investigadores, académicos, estudiantes y profesionales en los campos de la
ciencia y la tecnología, y ha sido un catalizador de gran importancia para el
fomento del desarrollo científico-tecnológico de República Dominicana.
El objetivo del XVII CIC es contribuir al desarrollo científico y tecnológico
de República Dominicana y al fortalecimiento de la cultura científica en toda
la nación, mediante el desarrollo de capacidades para investigación, la
comunicación entre científicos nacionales e internacionales y la vinculación
para trabajo conjunto en temas de ciencia y tecnología; crear un foro
permanente de intercambio científico mediante la exposición de resultados de
investigación, y servir de espacio para la formación, educación continua y
actualización de académicos, profesionales y educadores de las áreas
científico-tecnológicas.
Son bienvenidas propuestas de resúmenes, simposios, cursos, talleres y paneles en biodiversidad, vectores de enfermedades, bioprospección y farmacogenómica; salud, enfermedades infecciosas y crónicas, balance en la inversión en investigaciones de enfermedades (COVID-19, cáncer, dengue, tuberculosis, sida, cardíacas, diabetes, etc.); biología molecular (ómicas y filogenia) y evolución de la resistencia a antibióticos; matemática, modelos de predictibilidad epidémicos y estadística; seguridad alimentaria y bioeconomía, recursos genéticos, biotecnología y producción sostenible; bicombustibles y energías alternativas; IA-ML-DL-DS, su relación con la investigación científica e industria 4.0.
Las inscripciones del evento estarán abiertas
desde el 21 de Febrero al 01 de Junio de 2022. Las
inscripciones serán realizadas en la sección Inscripciones de esta pagina web.
PROPUESTAS DE RESÚMENES
Serán aceptados resúmenes escritos en español
y/o inglés, completando el formulario que se encuentra en la sección Someter Trabajos en esta página. Cada resumen debe estar escrito en un solo párrafo con
un máximo de 250 palabras. Los resúmenes que no se ajusten estrictamente a este
formato, serán rechazados por el sistema.
FECHA LÍMITE PARA SOMETIMIENTO DE RESÚMENES. La fecha limite para someter los resumenes es el 10 de abril de 2022. Se notificará el estatus de su propuesta por vía electrónica a más tardar el 15 de mayo de 2022.
Las modalidades de presentación de trabajos en
el XVII CIC son oral y cartel, en las áreas señaladas. Se podrá participar con
modalidad virtual y presencial.
Presentación oral: Duración de 20 min (17 min de exposición y 3 min de debate); Simposio de 30 min (25 min de exposición y 5 min de debate).

patrocina.

In order for a
scientific production to comply with international standards, it is necessary
to discuss the results of its ongoing and completed research, as well as the analysis
of concepts that nurture epistemological dialogue that cultivates and expands
both critical thinking and the validity of knowledge. All this occurs within
the discussions of the Dominican Week of Science and Technology on June
6-12, 2022, whose main event is the XVII International Congress of Scientific
Research.
The XVII
INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (XVII ICSR) will be held on
June 8-10, in the city of Santo Domingo, with keynotes and special conferences,
concurrent presentations, poster exhibitions, as well as courses, seminars and in-person,
virtual and mixed modality workshops.
XVII INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (ICSR)
As indicated
above, this XVII INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (XVII ICSR) provides
an ideal setting for researchers, academics, students, and professionals in the
fields of science and technology to interact with each other and has been a
catalyst of great importance on the promotion of the scientific-technological
development of Dominican Republic.
The
objective of the XVII ICSR is to contribute to the scientific and technological
development of the Dominican Republic and to the strengthening of the scientific
culture throughout the nation, by way of the development of research
capacities, the communication between national and foreign scientists, and the binding
for joint work on issues of science and technology; this creates a permanent
forum for scientific exchange through the exhibition of research results and
serves as a platform for training, continuing education and recent advances updates
of academics, professionals and professors in the scientific-technological areas.
We welcome proposals
for symposiums, courses, workshops, and panels on biodiversity, disease vectors,
bioprospecting, and pharmacogenomics; health, infectious and chronic diseases,
balance in investment in disease research (COVID-19, cancer, dengue, tuberculosis,
AIDS, heart disease, diabetes, etc.); molecular biology (omics and phylogeny)
and evolution of antibiotic resistance; mathematics, epidemic predictability
models and statistics; food security and bioeconomy, genetic resources,
biotechnology and sustainable production; biofuels and alternative energies;
IA-ML-DL-DS, its relationship with scientific research and industry 4.0.
Registration for the event will be open from February 21 to June 01, 2022. Registration will be made in the Registration section of this website.
Abstracts written in Spanish and/or English will be accepted, completing the form found in the Submit Works section on this page. Each summary must be written in a single paragraph with a maximum of 250 words. The system will reject abstracts that do not strictly adhere to this format.

INTERNACIONAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN CIENTÍFICA (CIC)
El Congreso Internacional de
Investigación Científica (CIC) nace en 2005 con el objetivo de brindar la
oportunidad a la comunidad científica latinoamericana y dominicana de exponer y
discutir los resultados de las investigaciones científicas y tecnológicas que
se realizan en el área para poner a estos científicos en interacción permanente
con la comunidad científica internacional.
Durante el I CIC (2005) hubo 51 presentaciones, fundamentalmente de
Puerto Rico y República Dominicana, en el VII CIC (2015) pasamos la barrera de
100 ponencias, en el X CIC (2014) hubo más de 250 presentaciones, que cubrió
todos los continentes y más de 30 países.
El XI CIC (2015) fue atípico con casi 500 porque se realizó con el XII
Congreso Centroamericano y del Caribe de Parasitología y Medicina Tropical (ACACPMT).
A partir del XIV CIC (2018) se han realizado
más de 300 presentaciones por evento al punto que durante el XVI CIC (2021) hubo
unas 386. En 2020 la situación sanitaria
de la pandemia forzó a cancelar la realización de lo que sería el XVI CIC, pero
la comunidad científica dominicana no se quedó de brazos cruzados y celebró el Simposio Internacional
Investigación y Soluciones Científicas en Tiempos de Crisis. Covid-19 y Más
Allá: Seguridad Alimentaria, Salud, Educación, Medioambiente y Economía en donde participaron científicos de
Alemania, Chile, Cuba, España, Estados Unidos de América, Guatemala,
Inglaterra, México, PNUD, Portugal, Saint Kits y Suecia,
En
el desarrollo de cada CIC se programan 5-6 conferencias magistrales, una de las
cuales es la de apertura al Congreso.
Durante el XII CIC (2016) este evento pasó a otro nivel porque la conferencia
magistral de apertura, “La Importancia de las Ciencias Básicas”, estuvo a cargo del prof. David
Gross, Premio Nobel de Física 2004 por… quién volvió a honrarnos de igual
manera con la del XVI CIC, Papel Crítico de los Centros de Ciencias, y por lo
cual estamos agradecidos por el apoyo a nuestro desarrollo en ciencia y tecnología. Durante el XIII CIC (2017), la conferencia
magistral de apertura “La Revolución de la Medicina Personalizada:
¿Llegaremos a Curar todas las Enfermedades, y a Qué Precio?”, estuvo a cargo del Dr.
Aaron Ciechanover, Premio Nobel de Química 2004.
En 2018 durante el XIV CIC el Dr. Gianni
Jona-Lasinio, destacado científico italiano presentó la conferencia magistral “Entendiendo
el No-Equilibrio: Algunos Avances Recientes y Retos para el Futuro”. Otro hito importante es que en el XV CIC
(2019) la conferencia magistral de apertura “Resistencia Antimicrobiana: el
Mecanismo Biológico Subyacente” la ofreció la Dra. María Isabel Veiga,
destacada joven científica de Portugal.
No menos importante son todas las conferencias magistrales que han sido
ofrecidas durante toda la historia del CIC y que se están disponibles en cada
uno de libros de resúmenes y programas de la versión de cada año.
Dada la multidisciplinariedad del evento, más de 2,750 científicos, en diversas especialidades dentro de los campos de la Física, Química, Biología, Matemática, Educación Científica y Tecnología Educativa, Matemática Educativa, Farmacología, Ciencias Agroalimentarias, Biomedicina, Biología Molecular, Microbiología, Parasitología, Bioinformática, Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación y Energías Alternativas, entre otros, tuvieron la oportunidad de interactuar con pares de diferentes países.
El CIC ha contado con la participación de científicos de Alemania, Antigua y Barbados, Argentina, Australia, Bélgica, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, España, Estados Unidos de América, Finlandia, Francia, Guatemala, Guyana Francesa, Haití, Honduras, Italia, Jamaica, Japón, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Perú, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Reino Unido, Federación Rusa, St.Kitts & Nevis, Suecia, Taiwán, Turquía, Uruguay, Venezuela y República Dominicana.
INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (ICSR)
The first International Congress of Scientific Research (ICSR) was held in 2005 to provide the opportunity for the Latin American and Dominican scientific community to present and discuss the results of their scientific and technological research carried out in their areas of expertise and to provide these scientists permanent interaction with the international scientific community. During the first ICSR (2005), 51 presentations were conducted mainly from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The VII ICSR (2015) surpassed the limit of 100 presentations. In the X ICSR (2014), more than 250 presentations in which all the continents and more than 30 countries were represented. The XI ICSR (2015) was unusual with almost 500 presentations because it was held along with the XII Central American and Caribbean Congress of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine (ACACPMT). As for the XIV ICSR (2018), more than 300 presentations were carried out per event to the point that during the XV ICSR (2021), some 386 presentations were carried out. In 2020, the health situation of the pandemic forced the cancellation of what would be the XVI ICSR, but the Dominican scientific community did not sit idly by and held the International Symposium on Research and Scientific Solutions in Times of Crisis.Covid-19 and Beyond: Food Security, Health, Education, Environment and Economy in which scientists from Germany, Chile, Cuba, Spain, United States of America, Guatemala, England, Mexico, UNDP, Portugal, Saint Kitts, and Sweden participated.
In the development of each ICSR, 5-6 master conferences are scheduled, one of which is the opening to the Congress. During the XIII ICSR (2017), the opening lecture, "The Revolution of Personalized Medicine: Will we Cure all Diseases, and at what Price?" was presented by Dr. Aaron Ciechanover, Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2004. The XII ICSR (2016) went to another level because of the opening lecture, "The Importance of Basic Sciences," presented by prof. David Gross, Nobel Prize in Physics 2004 who again honored us with the XVI ICSR, Critical Role of Science Centers, and for which we are grateful for the support of our development in science and technology.
No less important are all the master conferences that have been presented throughout the history of the ICSR and that are available in each of the versions of the abstract books and programs. In 2018 during the XIV ICSR, Dr. Gianni Jona-Lasinio, a prominent Italian scientist, presented the keynote address "Understanding Non-Equilibrium: Some Recent Advances and Challenges for the Future." Another significant milestone at the XV ICSR (2019) was the opening lecture "Antimicrobial Resistance: the Underlying Biological Mechanism" presented by Dr. María Isabel Veiga, an outstanding young scientist from Portugal.
Given the multidisciplinarity of the event, more than 2,750 scientists in various areas of expertise within the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Scientific Education and Educational Technology, Educational Mathematics, Pharmacology, Agriculture and Food Sciences, Biomedicine, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Bioinformatics, Information and Communication Technologies, and Alternative Energies, among others, have had the opportunity to interact with colleagues from different countries.
The ICSR has had the participation of scientists from Germany, Antigua and Barbados, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, United States of America, Finland, France, Guatemala, French Guiana, Haiti, Honduras, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Russian Federation, St. Kitts & Nevis, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Uruguay, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic.
